In October of 2015, I became the part-time music teacher for Kindergarten through third grade at Presentation BVM School.  My job expanded to include PreK about three years ago. For thirty-six years before that, I taught seventh and then seventh and eighth grades here at Presentation BVM School. In the departmental setup, I mostly taught ELA, science, and religion. I retired from full-time teaching in June of 2015. Previously I taught fourth and then fifth grades at St. William School for a total of seven years and seventh grade at St. Matthew for two years.

I attended St. Martin of Tours Elementary School and Little Flower High School. I earned my B.S. in Elementary Education from Gwynedd-Mercy College.

I have three adult children: two who live in the area and one in Seattle, Washington. In my retirement, I enjoy traveling, reading, doing crossword puzzles, and going for walks especially as a part of my other hobby- raising a puppy each year for The Seeing Eye. I am presently raising my eleventh puppy, Max, who is my first German shepherd. My puppy does accompany me whenever possible – to school, to church, to stores, on buses, trains, basically anywhere she is allowed. (Check out the pictures on my website!)

Presentation BVM is a wonderful school, and I thoroughly enjoy being a part of this caring community. Although my experiences as a music teacher are quite different from those of a junior high teacher, I know both have helped me to become a better person and hopefully have helped my students achieve both their spiritual, academic, and personal goals.
