The Philadelphia Archdiocese and BLOCS have elected to utilize the FACTS Grant & Aid process for the school year. ALL families registering a student in Preschool 3’s through grade 8, must register with FACTS; all tuition is paid through FACTS. You can register with FACTS for tuition assistance through BLOCS.
ITEMS NEEDED FOR FACTS GRANT & AID APPLICATION
Gathering the following documents and information
will make completing the application a much easier process
Your FACTS Grant & Aid User Name and Password (this is not the same as the user name and password that you use to access the Family Portal)
The names, social security numbers, dates of birth, contact information and employer information for the applicant and co-applicant
The names, social security numbers and dates of birth of students for whom financial aid is being requested
The amount of tuition that you and the co-applicant can pay annually
The number of adults living in the household
The number of children living in the household
Your most recently filed federal tax return, including all Forms and Schedules (for example, Pages 1 & 2 of Form 1040, Pages 1 & 2 of Schedule 1, Pages 1 & 2 of Schedule 2, Pages 1 & 2 of Schedule C, Pages 1 & 2 of Schedule E, Form 4562, Form 1065), etc. These forms and schedules will need to be uploaded with your application.
Form W-2 for the applicant and co-applicant
Tax returns and other information related to any businesses, rental properties, partnerships, farms, S corporations or estates and trusts that the applicant and co-applicant may own
An estimate of your 2025 income
The monthly amounts of:
Rent, mortgage and home equity loan payments
Auto loan/lease payments
Minimum amounts due on credit card statements
Student loan payments for household family members no longer attending college
Other loan payments
Alimony payments paid (not received)
Child support payments paid (not received)
Health insurance premiums
Total amount of credit card debt (do not include amounts that are paid on full each month
The annual amounts of:
Vehicle insurance expense
Out-of-pocket medical experiences not paid by insurance
Charitable contributions
Your and your spouse’s annual contribution to retirement plan assets
The year and make/model of all automobiles in the household
The number of:
Household family members attending college beginning this fall
Children for whom you pay child/day care expenses beginning this fall
People for whom you pay elder care expenses
The values of the following assets and liabilities:
Cash, savings and/or checking accounts
Stocks, bond investments, cryptocurrency, mutual funds and/or certificates of deposit
529 plan accounts
Amount of expected contributions in the upcoming year to 529 plan accounts
Retirement plan assets (401k, 403b, IRAs, etc.)
Estimated value of your home
Amount that you still owe for your home
Checking account or credit card information that will be used to pay the $35 FACTS Grant & Aid Application fee.
