Presentation B.V.M.’s Technology Program is taking a bold step forward! The 5th, 6th, 7th & 8th graders will be arriving to Pres each day eager to learn, but there is one BIG difference. . . they are completing much of their classwork and learning via Chromebooks! The students will use these Chromebooks daily in their classes. The teachers and students have many uses for their iPads. Integration of technology has never been easier! Using GSuite apps, the children will create virtual notebooks for most of their classes. The children can easily access the Bible through the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops website. The possibilities for the educational use of these devices are endless: movie-making, animation, digital storytelling, research, modeling, reinforcement, organization, collaboration, and simply sharing! Digital Citizenship is integrated into lessons as well. The purpose is to provide a challenging and engaging environment as we use the Chromebook as a resource to teach the curriculum. The seventh and eighth grade accepts not only this amazing gift of one-to-one but also the challenge of using them responsibly, creatively, and fully! We believe this will have a tremendous impact on learning and teaching. As these students encounter the world of “digital learning” another challenge they face is to use them responsibly, creatively, and fully!
